Another Year Older

Chuck E Cheese = birthday party. That's where I went last year, as you know, and that's where my brother went. So, that's where I wanted to go again. Chuck E still scared me, but as long as Mommy, Grammy, or Auntie had me, I was fine.

It's been a while since I told you about my life. I have learned so this year! I can't even remember what it was like to not have my little brother. I can talk now. Oh yeah. I will tell you everything I know if you want to sit and listen. I like to read stories (I mostly make it up when I look at the pictures). I love to go on slides. If I'm at a park, it's hard to get me to leave. And if that isn't enough, I love being a big sister!

It's My Birthday

"They say it's your birthday. Happy Birthday to ya. They say it's your birthday. We're going to have a good time." It's my birthday and I'm 2. So many people came to celebrate with me. We went to Chuck E Cheese. Chuck E scared me a bit. He was big mouse and moved weird. I had fun playing on the games and riding on some little rides. My aunties and my sister helped me with the games. Mommy said she's going to take me back so that she can play with me too.

So many of my friends and my family were there. They game me a lot of neat things. I got a lot of new clothes. Mommy is happy about that. I also got some new toys and books. I like books. I especially like the books with animals. I get to learn the sounds that the animals make.

Well, it's on to be terrible. Wait, I said I'm not going to be a terrible 2, just 2!!!

Big Girls Strides

This last couple of weeks I've really shown Mommy and Daddy how much I'm growing up. I'm going potty like a big girl. I was just ready and I don't like to be wet, so I tell somebody when I have to go. It's very exciting.

My birthday is next week, but Auntie brought me a present early. She gave me a bike sized just for me. She says it will grow with me too so I can use it the next couple of years. I don't quite have the hang of the pedals, but Mommy says that I'll be able to pedal like I've always known how. I guess it's like crawling and walking - once you get the hang of it, you just know it.

I've been learning a lot of new words lately, but sometimes it's still hard for people to understand me. I can get frustrated when they don't know what I want. Mommy says it's the sign of the terrible twos. I'm not going to be terrible, I'm just going to be two!

The Wonder of Summer

I love summertime. It means time to swim, to run, and to play hard. I love to be in the water. Besides my family, I think it's my favorite thing. Auntie came to visit me again and I asked her to give me a bath. I can almost say "bath" now. I can say it well enough that Mommy knows what I'm saying. Mommy says that I'd take a bath seven times a day if I could.

I also love to go bye-bye. Any chance I get I grab a purse (or anything that I can pretend to be a purse) and tell Mommy bye-bye. I love being out so much that I sometimes get mad when we get back home. That is unless I see Daddy's truck. Then I get excited.

I'm learning to say more words all the time. I still make more sounds for words than the actual words. At least that's how I say animal names. Mommy took some video of me saying my words. Auntie is going to do some fancy computer work and put them on something called internet. Then you can all see it to.

Well, I'm off to make more sounds.

Our Easter

Hi Everybody! It's me, Ava.

Auntie has been very busy and hasn't been able to send out my note to you. But here it is now.

My brother and I got dressed up and all went over to my gg's house to celebrate Easter. I sat with my Grammy and shared her dinner. I tried some new things and let her know what I liked and what I didn't like. I really liked the ham and some fruit from the fruit salad. Then, Mommy gave me a pretty basket and told me about eggs that some bunny hid. When we went out the backyard, I found eggs all around. I really liked finding those eggs. When I found them all, I learned that there was something special inside.

Hey, hey, hey sister! Stop hogging the story, it's my turn!

My sister has been telling you her story, but now I want to tell you my story. I'm still sleeping a whole lot. That means I'm growing. And oh boy, am I ever growing (that's what Mommy says). I'm going to be a big boy and catch up to my sister. I can stay awake longer now too. It's nice to look at Mommy and Daddy's faces more. I like taking baths too, but I don't like being cold when I get out. But Mommy wraps me up all tight and snug, and I like that.

I got to hang out with a lot of my family at Easter. My Auntie got to hold me a lot and I liked that. My sister loves her a lot and I do too!

OK, I'm still so little that I tire easily. I'm done.

Good, then! It's my turn again. My brother Adam has a special weekend coming up, but he doesn't know it yet. He's going to get his pictures taken. I love to have my picture taken. The camera has always captured my interest (he he, I can be funny too).

Goodnight from Ava and Adam

My Little Brother

Hi everyone. It's me, Ava. Auntie said that I can tell you about my little brother since he's too busy sleeping to tell you himself. Tomorrow he will be a whole week old. I'm still not really used to having him around. But I do like to watch him sleep and I kiss him a whole lot. I can't cuddle as much with Mommy because she says she's sore and can't pick me up. But if I'm really careful, I can sit next to her on the couch and cuddle against her. What was neat was that I got to stay at my Grammy's house for a couple of nights.

Mommy has been talking a whole bunch about how big I am and how quickly I grew. She says that I was even smaller than my brother. That's hard to believe because he seems so small. But I'm getting to be a big girl now.

Another Wonderful Christmas

Christmas was so much fun. When I woke up in the morning, there was a horsey in our living room. Mommy said that Santa brought it for me. I had some fun learning to ride. What really helped was learning that when I lean forward, it rocks! Santa also left me a stocking with a lot of fun things in it.

We all went over to Grammy's house. I helped everyone open their presents. I had fun with own as well. Auntie gave me a backpack filled with books for me. I put my backpack on and took it off and put it on and took it off.

Dinner was so good. There were so many wonderful foods to try. Just like at Thanksgiving, my favorite was still the olives. But I also had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and bread rolls.

I was going non-stop all day long. I didn't even take a nap. But who wants to miss out on celebrating Jesus' birthday?
